Could you provide more information on how you will define rural and urban for purposes of the set aside?

I would also like to know what is the definition of rural and urban? Will only OKC and Tulsa be defined as urban? Does it include cities that encompass them like broken arrow and Moore? How far out does that extend and what about cities such as Lawton, Enid, or Chickasha?

I would recommend that a property be designated rural or urban based on address search on the USDA website. This is a tool readily available to the public and makes it very easy to define rural areas. Keep in mind there are a few different programs the USDA funds, and each search will give different results. As long as OHFA determines which program to use as a base, then make sure the link to that specific address search is the one used for applications.

Maybe just come out with a list of Cities that is in Urban and the rest would be consider Rural. The USDA definition is to much of a national definition. I would like for the Rural Definition to include more of these less urban areas in Oklahoma but may have a population of 35,000.

Developer Subsidy for Rental Housing and Homebuilder Subsidy-Rural and Urban need to be defined by the USDA definition, rather than the MSA/non-MSA distinction.
